The won't play as low or as high...but might have more magic in the middle. Maybe we should buy all Duelund filters from Rick for Christmas? Probably not with my ever shrinking job!

As for the box, I made it up. This was the ~4 cubic foot sealed box I developed when I was trying to arrive at something compact that would not require a stand and raked the baffle back at about ~10 degrees so that it could be very short. The thing with the sealed box was that it didn?t have enough low end so I made the 10.5 cubic foot MLTL in the meantime, then finally cut a hole in the bottom of these to give better bass. (This is my 6th box variant)

I simulated it in Jeff Bagby?s spreadsheet using the 10.5 cubic foot MLTL as the first simulation to verify how well the software worked, then settled on 40hz in room as an F6 target knowing that room gain down low especially would make it mostly flat.

Here are the internal dimensions:

Those are vented out the bottom with a 4" x 3/4" hole. The woofer center is roughly 9? down from the top.

17"w x 34.75"h

top plate is 8.75" deep

bottom plate is 13.75? deep

Total volume is ~110.5 liters.

Brace yourself.... you can measure the lights out of a ferrite 604 vs. Alnico, but in the end, you will not be ready that there is truly a difference in sound in favor of the Alnico. My experience only of course....

Is it possible to get a schematic of those x-overs? Or any other good ones.
I'm going to buy a pair of 604-8G and I'm also interested in good sounding cabinets with as high WAF as possible.

I have not seen schema for these, but you should certainly check out Jeff Markwart's stuff.Jeff Markwart's Corner - Phase Corrected Crossovers He has done great work with the coax drivers.

I dont think Rick has made his schematic public as Jeff has, and I dont think he has done any for the 604-8G. Jeff Markwart's would be the place to start I would think.

I left details of the most WAF friendly cab I could develop in an earlier post. The Selah Xover is only available from Rick and is not for the model you specify, but you could have him develop one for you for a modest fee. Otherwise, use the Markwart as many others are very happy with it.

Yea, your cabinet has a very high WAF! A few questions regarding your cabinets:
How do they sound compare to larger cabinets like the Stonehenge? If I understand you correctly you vented the box by making a hole in the bottom but don't you have to have a distance between the speaker bottom and the floor to make it work? I can't see that on your photo. And won't you be able to tune the bass-resonance by changing the distance?
What kind of material have you used? How much and what kind of damping material?

I didn't build the stonehenge cabinets so I can't comment. I did build the 10.5 cubic foot MLTL and a 6 cubic foot BR though. (the cute little cab is number 6, and it is still just a prototype) The panel damping material is 3 sheets of roofing felt and the cabinets are well stuffed with bonded logic ultratouch insulation. I haven't played around with the stuffing or the distance from the floor like what you are asking for, but whatever the height of a black diamond racing cone is is how far away they are from the floor.

I have tried them in two different rooms now, and they have worked well in both instances with wildly different placement. My house with near wall and corner placement, and at my buddy's house with traditional audiophile (several feet from all boundaries) placement. Beranek's law or not, it's a good cab.

I plan to make a nice looking version in the next couple of months. Nothing fancy like bamboo ply, but probably at least the highest grade of Fin/BB birch or ApplePly I can find.
